Harboring retrofit is a coastal wind site upgrade focused on turbine improvements and control tuning. The goal was to raise annual energy output without altering the clean architectural lines of the existing installation — a balance of performance and visual restraint that mattered to both the operator and the surrounding community.
Turbine upgrades and site preparation
Our team replaced aging drivetrain components, refreshed blade surfaces, and brought nacelle systems up to current efficiency standards. Every change was scoped to fit within the existing footprint, minimizing structural rework and keeping the site profile intact along the harbor shoreline.
Control tuning for coastal conditions
Coastal wind sites face variable gusts, salt-air exposure, and shifting load patterns. We recalibrate pitch and yaw controllers, tuned cut-in and cut-out thresholds, and integrated updated SCADA monitoring so operators could track performance in real time. Post-commissioning data showed a measurable lift in annual production.
Output gains with minimal visual impact
Performance improvements did not come at the cost of site aesthetics. Turbine spacing, hub heights, and tower finishes were preserved to maintain the project's clean lines. The result is a site that delivers more power while looking unchanged from the surrounding landscape.

Harboring now runs with higher availability, faster fault response, and stronger year-over-year output. The operator has a clear baseline for future hybrid storage integration, making this retrofit a foundation for long-term coastal wind performance rather than a one-time maintenance fix.
